This is one of my favorite recordings ever. Recorded in 1973 with Gerald Moore at the piano and with the magnificent RIAS Kammerchor these nine Lieder were composed to be sung on evenings between friends.  Even today these duets remain largely unknown, music treasures hidden to the large audiences. Later on they would be joined by soprano Elly Amelling and tenor Peter Schreier to record the trios and quartets, and Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau would finished the complete Lieder by Schubert.
